The current Florida Condominium Act, F.S. Ch. 718, was adopted in 1976. Prior to that time, the statutory basis for condominium ownership was F.S. Ch. 711 enacted in 1963. The condominium form of ownership in Florida has, therefore, been in effect for more than 50 years.
